Resolving Problems and Advising
Sometimes students have problems that are too difficult for them to solve alone. The teachers and staff at the ALI want to help you. If you have a difficult problem:
- Talk to your Level Advisor (usually this person is your reading teacher) to find out who can help you. Your Level Advisor will probably introduce you to someone in the office who knows how to fix your specific problem, for example, the Homestay Coordinator or someone in the accounting office.
- Talk to the Student Relations Counselor Marc Tannenhaus. Marc can help students solve many types of problems: practical (parking tickets, lost luggage, speaking on the phone with an American business, etc.) and personal (problems adjusting to living in the US, emotional problems, etc.).
- If you have a complaint about your program, please come into the office to talk to the Academic Director, who will listen to your complaint and try to make your situation better.
