How to Order Your Official SDSU Transcript

Retune to Main Page

Transcript orders are processed in real-time. Grades posted in Canvas are not considered official and may not yet be reflected on your transcript. It is your responsibility to verify your grades and/or degree are posted on your unofficial transcript before ordering an official transcript.

For Fall 2022, the deadline for professors to post grades is December 30. Therefore, if you do not see it before this day, no need to worry about it.

We recommend ordering your official transcripts a few days AFTER the deadline for grades.

Grades appearing on Canvas are NOT official. However, if your home university requires grading details, such as actual percentage or scores, you should save the grading rubrics of each course (usually in the course syllabus), as soon as possible.

Please note that SDSU Global Campus or staff will not be able to access any student’s official transcript, and therefore, we cannot order it on any student’s behalf, or generate any official transcript and send it to the student.

Make sure you have already activated your SDSU WebPortal account. You must activate your account before you can access it.

  1. Login to SDSU WebPortal
  2. You may need to click the “Undergrad” tap once you log in
  3. Select “Unofficial Transcript” (NOT “My Grades”) to see if all grades have been posted and if they are correct
  4. When you have verified that your Unofficial Transcript is accurate, select “Official Transcript” in WebPortal
  5. Select your desired format: “Certified Electronic PDF” or “Hard Copy Paper”
  6. Select “Continue”
  7. Complete all fields and follow all instructions.
  8. If you want the digital transcript to be sent to your home university directly, please enter the email address that will reach your professor or the international office directly, and not your personal email. If you send it to yourself, then you download the attachment, the PDF document will lose the “blue ribbon symbol” that use to authenticate your document, and your home university may or may not accept it. If you have to re-order it again, you will need to pay for it again.
